A large scale early 18th century Louis XIV bleached oak armoire. Of large proportions. Displaying a pair of elegantly carved doors - depicting acanthus leaves, flowers and swags. The sides consist of three panels: a horizontal rectangle in between larger vertically aligned rectangles, with gracefully carved corners. A thick moulding wraps around the sides and front of the base of the armoire. Raised on shaped bracket feet with a carved pelmet, displaying an unusually deep overhang. c1700-20
