A pair of 19th century ornate French Louis XV style open armchairs. Featuring their original paintwork to the frames which has sympathetically worn over the years thus exposing some of the wooden frames underneath.
Featuring carved foliate motif decoration throughout the framework. These chairs have recently being upholstered with 'his and hers' tapestry to both panel backs and seats, while the armchairs have also been covered in the same fabric featured on the rest of the chair. The upholstery to this chair has been finished with antique stud-work to the surround of the upholstery, working in well with the overall design and appearance of the chairs. Raised on slender scrolling legs, Although delicate in appearance these pair of chairs are sturdy and would grace any room well.
