A late 18th-century primitive cedar black painted settle - trunk. Displaying hand-hewn wide boards of mountain cedarwood, adoring a simplistic design demonstrating two finials at either end. Originating from the Hindu Kush, near the borders of Afghanistan and Pakistan and from the remote mountains of Nuristan. A wonderfully primitive and rare piece of furniture that would lend itself extremely well in a narrow entrance.
