A large 19th-century Chinese rice wine jar From Shanxi Province - circa 1890.  Displaying a graceful design where elements of the hand-shaped details are visible throughout, demonstrating a wonderful deep black patina.  Featuring a wide raised mouth opening with flared rim spout on a domed-edged top narrowing to a tapered bottom.  A graceful shape that would lend itself well to an array of interiors.

Presenting its original cover.
