An unusual Late 18th-century oriental black lacquer coffee table, the overall design appears to be highly influenced from furniture belonging to the 'Ming dynasty' known for its clean, elegant lines with gracefully curved details.
 
  
 
 
  
This low coffee table features traces of its original pattern to the rectangular top surface which have faded with age. Raised on four lacquered square tapering legs all connected by stretchers.  With age, the original lacquer base has faded and worn creating an unusual design throughout.
