A 19th century, Persian Qajar Dynasty Islamic pottery vase. Featuring vivid colour decoration throughout with dramatic yellow and pink columns framing urns of blooming pink flowers. Elegant baluster in shape with a short neck and flaring rim. This vase has been painted in colored enamels with a band of shaped floral cartouches between foliate design covered with crackle glaze.
The unusual colors among the floral pattern and the Ginger Jar shape of this vase covered with Crackle Glaze - suggests that this vase would have originally been inspired by Chinese, Cantonese export ware.
